Repair #1 failed. The
first repair used twice the number of fasteners than the factory setup.
The door has no unusual opening/closing force or restriction. Factory setup has bolts threading into the thin metal of the door. The bolts pull out of the metal door. |
Repair #2 Adding twice as many fasteners into the door as Repair #1 and changing the fasener style - using Jack Nuts that expand behind the metal face instead of having bolts thread into the metal face. This layout will allow for a "second use" of the wood plate for the wood to door opener attachment that still has two fasteners in use. |
Door attachment / bracket fastened to the wood mounting board. If the two flathead screws pull through the wood board, the board can be removed, rotated 180. |
