| Air
quality is quite low - there's no chance to see Pike's Peak today as we
can see the nearby Denver skyscrapers are hazy. I believe this is due

| This Toyota has seen better times. It looks like it tipped onto its passenger side. Broken glass and dented metal. |

| Headed up the Red Cone trail |

| These aspen trees look nice when they turn golden yellow. |

| There's
a short stretch of large undulations / depressions / holes. They are
large enough to have two tires, diagonal from each other, hanging in
the air - no forward motion to happen unless traction control or a
differential lock is available. |

| Rain to our south |

| nice sky to our north |

| Closer - but yet a ways to go |

| These downhill sections are a bit steep and of loose rock leading to some sliding |

| Looking down at Webster Pass. We will take the left trail which leads back to the meeting spot we started at. |
