One month ago the area was covered with 12 to 19 inches of snow (link). Today you'd be hard pressed to find any piles remaining. Clear skies above, clear roads below - the bike found itself winding its way to the Mississippi River.

After the sun set the moon made itself known - almost full with the still clear sky. The ride back to Freeport, via the little used county roads, gave glorious hilltop views of the town lights afar.
